Environmental Accounting

Mountain Ash Insights Managing Director and Lead Consultant Ro, is currently undertaking research for her Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Accounting. This research is funded by scholarships from the Australian Government Research Training Program and Meat & Livestock Australia. Publications from this research are available below.
Environmental accounts can assist landholders and organisations to track and manage landscape health, or to communicate with stakeholders and customers about environmental credentials. Environmental accounting can be used in projects to monitor outcomes and evaluate performance.
If you are interested in learning more about environmental accounting and how it could assist your efforts to improve landscape health, please get in touch. We are always on the look out for opportunities to collaborate with researchers, landholders and community groups on environmental accounting research and projects.
"I commenced my Phd in Environmental Accounting at the University of Tasmania in 2019. I am interested in how environmental accounting approaches can improve the health of socio-ecological systems in agricultural landscapes. In particular I am exploring how these approaches can be expanded to ensure marginalised voices are heard."
