Mountain Ash Insights

Supporting healthy future landscapes

Mountain Ash Insights works throughout Australia. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners where we work. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We recognise the strong cultural connection that Indigenous Peoples have with Country and the vast Cultural Knowledge they hold. Mountain Ash Insights operates from Lutruwita (Tasmania). As such, in particular, we pay our respects to the traditional owners of Far South Tasmania, the Lyluequonny people.

"When I was thinking about a name for my business I wanted to recognise that landscape will mean different things to different people depending on their life experiences, education and cultural location. I was born in England, but was brought up in Australia and I have a very a real love of Australian landscape. I was named after an English woodland species - the Rowan Tree, which is also known as the Mountain Ash in England. Of course, to most Australians the Mountain Ash is a species of Eucalypt native to Tasmania and Victoria. That sharing and divergence of meaning really sums up what Mountain Ash Insights is trying to achieve. We want to recognise the unique relationships people have with landscapes and are committed to working with people from all walks of life to collectively create healthy future landscapes."
